Cheap Trick Joints Under The Southern Stars’ 2021 Lineup

It’s all systems go for Under The Southern Stars, and now the festival has added a brand new act to their lineup – rock royalty Cheap Trick.

The American legends join one of the first internationally-fronted festival lineups we’ve seen in over a year, with Bush and Stone Temple Pilots also set to play.

Unfortunately, the addition of Cheap Trick doesn’t come without some sad news, as rock legends Live have been forced to pull out of the event as they cannot make it to Australia during this time.

Some more good news though: the event has locked in some new 2021 dates, so let’s keep our fingers crossed that these ones actually go ahead.

After being postponed from 2020 for obvious reasons, and then being postponed again from this month for the same reasons, the event will now go ahead in April and May of this year.

“Being the first live on stage international tour, we are aware the eyes of the world will be on us championing the re-opening of live international touring not only in Australia but globally,” promoter Andrew McManus said in a press statement.

Of course, tickets already purchased for the event before its postponement remain valid, or can be exchanged for a new date.
