Let Iggy Pop Reciting ‘Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night’ Stir Something In You

There’s something incredibly stirring about the way Iggy Pop recites Dylan Thomas. You may recall that his recitation of Thomas’ iconic poem, ‘Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night’ is a track that features on the rocker’s 16th studio record, Free which he released back in 2019.

The track hears him read the poem in his husky voice atop an ambient composition put together by LA artist, Noveller.

The clip is directed by Simon Taylor, and over the almost two minutes, the clip features a still headshot of Pop while he recites the poem. The moody filter placed over the clip matches the sombre atmosphere of Pop’s reading.
