Trent Reznor has, once again, denounced and shared his dislike for Marilyn Manson in a new statement following an old interview that claims the two allegedly assaulted a woman in the 1990s.
Specifically, the interview – which featured in Manson’s book The Long Hard Road Out Of Hell – was allegedly with Manson and made some disturbing claims about allegedly assaulting a woman the pair had gotten drunk. Reader’s discretion is advised, but you can read the interview excerpts here.
In a new statement given to Pitchfork, Reznor spoke of his dislike of Manson and called the events alleged in the interview a “complete fabrication”.
“I have been vocal over the years about my dislike of Manson as a person and cut ties with him nearly 25 years ago,” Reznor wrote.
“As I said at the time, the passage from Manson’s memoir is a complete fabrication. I was infuriated and offended back when it came out and remain so today.”
The interview in question has gone viral after abuse claims were made against Manson publicly, by actress and his ex-partner Evan Rachel Wood and at least four other women.
Manson denied the claims, but has already been dropped by his record label, Loma Vista Recordings.
