Big Thief‘s Adrianne Lenker recently performed a set for KEXP. Lenker played four tunes from 2020’s songs in the desert as the sunset over Joshua Tree for her contribution to the Seattle independent radio station’s Live On KEXP At Home video series.
Last October, the Big Thief frontman released two solo albums through 4AD, songs and instrumentals. Lenker recorded both LPs towards the start of the pandemic in a cabin located in Westhampton, Massachusetts.
Adrianne opened her Live On KEXP At Home set with “anything.” The chanteuse, who stuck to acoustic guitar throughout, continued on with “zombie girl” and “half return.” The 11-minute performance ended with songs single “forward beckon rebound.”
