Colorado’s eTown has announced the initial lineup for its 30th b’Earthday Celebration, featuring performances from Bob Weir, Los Lobos, Sam Bush, and more. The event is slated to take place virtually on Earth Day, April 22nd, beginning at 6:30 p.m. MT.
The eTown 30th b’Earthday Celebration will commemorate three decades of the Colorado radio show-turned multimedia non-profit. Also listed on the initial lineup of performers are The War and Treaty, Lyle Lovett, City and Colour, and Raquel Garcia. Environmental advocate and former U.S. Senator Tim Wirth (D-CO) will also be on hand for the celebration.

“Helen and I started eTown in ’91 determined to try something new, to make a different kind of show, one that mixed music and message,” eTown founder and host Nick Forster said in a press release. “It took us a while to find our voice and our place in the media landscape, but over the last three decades, we’ve not only presented—and played—a ton of remarkable live music, we’ve also shared really inspiring conversations and stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things on behalf of our shared environment.”
Prior to eTown, Forster toured and recorded for decades with Hot Rize, amongst others, while his wife Helen served as co-owner and producer of the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, in addition to performing herself.
“It’s hard to imagine a forum where Pops Staples, President Jimmy Carter, Atmosphere, Willie Nelson, Jane Goodall, Kacey Musgraves, James Taylor, Billy Strings, and a thousand more have come together on behalf of a few big ideas: that we’re all connected, that music reinforces that connection, and that we can all do something to fight climate change and social and racial injustice,” Nick said.
