Here’s How To Watch The 2021 Grammy Awards In Australia

The biggest award ceremony in music – the Grammys – are set to take place tomorrow (Monday, 12th March), following a very tumultous year in the music industry.

Beyoncé, despite releasing only one song in 2020, is the most nominated artist at the 2021 ceremony, leading with nine nominations.

If she were to win at least four of these awards, she’d overtake Alison Krauss as the most awarded female artist. If she were to win at least eight, she would take the title of most Grammy awarded artist in history from conductor Sir George Solti.

As for the biggest award of the night, Album Of The Year, Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa and Haim are just a few of the artists nominated. Should Swift win with folklore, she will become the only woman in history to have won the award three times, following her win in 2010 with Fearless and 2016 with 1989.

The 2021 ceremony had already made history with its nominations, with all nominees for ‘Best Rock Performance’ being women.

However, it has also caused a lot of controversy, particularly in the bizarre snubbing of The Weeknd and his all-conquering critical and commercial hit ‘Blinding Lights’. In fact, in the wake of the snub, The Weeknd has revealed that he will no longer submit his work for awards consideration.

Taylor Swift, Cardi B, Billie Eilish and more will all perform at the forthcoming ceremony, which will air on Network Ten following the network’s gain of the exclusive right of the ceremony. It will air from 11am AEDT.
