Mitski Shares New Song ‘The Baddy Man’ From Graphic Novel Soundtrack & It’s A ‘Lil Country

Just over a year since her last offering, Mitski has returned with ‘The Baddy Man’. A country-infused single taken from the soundtrack to her graphic novel.

Following up the grungy rock track ‘Cop Car’, Mitski has backflipped sonically to ‘The Baddy Man’.

It’s a dark, Western, country-pop track and it’s a really fun one. Mitski wrote the track for the soundtrack for her forthcoming graphic novel.

Teaming up with Z2 Comics for the release, the graphic novel This Is Where We Fall is due Tuesday, 9th March.

Z2 Comics have told Pitchfork the soundtrack will be released as a cassette and on vinyl, with no plans to share the release on streaming services.

According to the Z2 description, This Is Where We Fall is, “an innovative new science-fiction series that delves into complex questions on science, faith, mankind’s need to believe in something bigger than itself, while also questioning what defines the human spirit.”
