moe. Pivots The Caverns Show To ‘Above Ground’ Two-Night Run

On Monday, moe. announced the cancellation of the band’s June 26th concert at The Caverns in Pelham, TN. The Buffalo-bred quartet, however, mixed the good with the bad and also revealed plans for a two-night run at The Caverns Above Ground Amphitheatre on May 21st and 22nd.

In a post to the band’s social media pages, moe. stated that current ticketholders for the below-ground Caverns date will have access to a special pre-sale starting on Monday, March 8th. A general on-sale for tickets will begin on Thursday, March 11th. No on-sale times have been revealed.

Even as COVID restrictions around the country continue to gradually ease, holding concerts in the Caverns poses some unique restrictions. While the natural cave formation which creates the venue allows for a unique sound experience, it also makes regulating air quality much more difficult. As such, The Caverns has pivoted to hosting pod-style, above-ground shows at The Caverns Above Ground Amphitheatre, which sits on top of the famous caves. The Caverns below ground has not hosted a concert since Arlo Guthrie performed on March 7th, 2020.

moe., on the other hand, has not performed a live concert since November 7th, 2020 at Showtime at the Drive-In at Maryland’s Frederick Fairgrounds. Since then, the band has hosted a pair of webcasts from the lobby of the Palace Theatre in Albany, New York, including a cover-to-cover performance of the band’s 2020 EP, Not Normal.

Head over to The Caverns’ website for tickets and more information.
