The Ries Brothers Release ‘Take It Back (Reggae Remix)’ Featuring Julian Marley & More

58

The Ries Brothers released a remix of their song “Take It Back.” The reggae rendition features Julian Marley and more.

The original version of “Take It Back” appears on The Ries Brothers’ — siblings Kevin Jordan Ries and Charlie Ries — 2020 sophomore album, Paint Your Emotion, which arrived in September. Echoing Dream produced the reggae remix of “Take It Back” which also see contributions from Bumpin’ Uglies, E.N. Young, Kash’d Out, Little Stranger, Gary Dread and Jamie Hinckson along with Julian Marley.

Kevin Jordan Ries detailed the remix in a statement. Read his words below:

We always had the idea to make a reggae remix of the original track. The night before we were going to record our album Paint Your Emotion, we were messing with this song and stripped it down to just bass and drums. We felt this beat would be perfect to give to artists and let them do their thing – write and record a verse, with the main theme of love in mind. We hit up a bunch of our friends in the scene with the idea to create the ultimate collaboration.
