David Gilmour continues to roll out videos from the Von Trapped Family livestream series which took place last year during quarantine. The latest from the Pink Floyd guitarist and family is Leonard Cohen’s “Thanks For The Dance,” recorded on April 16, 2020.
“Thanks For The Dance” — from Cohen’s posthumously released 2019 album of the same name — is among a number of Cohen covers Gilmour did for Von Trapped Family. He previously shared video for “Bird On The Wire” and also performed “If It Be Your Will.” As with previous Cohen covers, David’s daughter Romany Gilmour joins him on vocals on “Thanks For The Dance” with her mom Polly Samson singing a bit as well.
