Dead & Company Confirms 2nd Playing In The Sand 2022 Event

Dead & Company added a second weekend to their Playing In The Sand destination event after the first weekend sold out. The band will now host fans at Moon Palace Cancún in Riviera Cancun, Mexico January 7 – 10 before the previously announced weekend January 13 – 16.

“In the coming weeks, there will be select private on sales for those who have signed up for the waitlist,” reads a note from Dead & Company and event organizers CID Presents and On Location. “Should packages remain available after those private on sales, we will publicize relevant details via our newsletter, website and social channels.”

Dead & Company features Grateful Dead members Bob Weir, Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann along with John Mayer, Jeff Chimenti and Oteil Burbridge. The shows mark the band’s first performances since Playing In The Sand 2020.
