Foo Fighters, Phoebe Bridgers, Khruangbin & More Design Bikes To Benefit Crew Nation

101

Foo Fighters, Phoebe Bridgers and Khruangbin are among the bands and artists contributing designs for Brompton Bicycle. The one-of-a-kind bikes will be offered through Greenhouse Auctions between May 28 and June 12 to benefit Live Nation’s Crew Nation, supporting music crews affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Additional artists who have contributed designs include Rise Against, LCD Soundsystem, Nathan East, Dinosaur Jr, Oh Wonder, Underworld, Enrique Iglesias, Neko Case and more. Radiohead’s longtime art director Stanley Donwood also delivered a bike design for the band.

“I’m ridiculously happy to have been asked to design a Brompton bike that’ll be auctioned to raise money and awareness for Crew Nation,” Donwood said in a statement. Radiohead guitarist Ed O’Brien also added, “Thank you to Brompton for asking us to be a part of their campaign to raise funds for Crew Nation… We love our crew and we love our Brompton bikes.”

“We’re lucky to count a number of musicians and their crews as dear friends, and over the years Brompton bikes have found a moving home on tour buses and been ridden by crews while out on the road,” Brompton Music Project Lead and North American Sales Manager Tevis Jory said.” “While artists, crews and the people who bring music to life have seen their livelihoods disappear, the bike industry has been booming, which led us to ask, ‘How can Brompton help?’”
