St. Vincent (Annie Clark) was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live yesterday. The singer-songwriter performed songs from her upcoming album, Daddy’s Home, set to arrive on May 14 via Loma Vista Recordings.
So far, St. Vincent has shared two singles from the album and she played both of them on SNL. The first performance saw St. Vincent on the album’s opening track and lead single, the gritty funk-tinged number “Pay Your Way In Pain.” Clark included the single in a Spotify playlist she shared last month featuring classic 1970s tracks her father played for her as a child that inspired the album, which she began recording after her father was released from prison in 2019. She followed with the second single, “The Meting Of The Sun,” which saw the singer-songwriter playing guitar.
