Bob Weir and Wolf Bros released official video of “Touch Of Grey” from their New Year’s Eve livestream concert. “Touch Of Grey” was the band’s finale on December 31, 2020 at TRI Studios in San Rafael, California.
The Grateful Dead/Dead & Company guitarist was joined by an expanded Wolf Bros lineup on New Year’s Eve and a series of livestream concerts that followed. Full-time members Don Was is on bass with Jay Lane on drums. Pedal steel wiz Greg Leisz and keyboardist Jeff Chimenti were on hand for the show with a five-piece horn and string section dubbed The Wolf Pack adding to portions of the performance.
“Touch Of Grey” was debuted live by the Grateful Dead on September 15, 1982 at the Cap Centre in Landover, Maryland. The band would go on to score their lone hit with a version of the Robert Hunter/Jerry Garcia-penned song featured on the 1987 Grateful Dead album In The Dark.
