Widespread Panic released video of “Jaded Tourist,” “Impossible” and “Imitation Leather Shoes.” The segment is from WSP’s performance at Grand Targhee Resort in Alta, Wyoming on July 3, 2011.
Panic has been rolling out videos of some of their oldest and most played tunes — along with some rarities — from a variety of locales on their 2011 tour itinerary. Those included their February 25th anniversary run in Athens and their April concerts in Alabama as well as a few from Grand Targhee. The most recent Grand Targhee clips feature a mixed bag of songs in regards to time and play frequency.
Of the three songs, “Jaded Tourist” — a band co-write with Bill Elder — is the newest, debuted on June 27, 2010, as per Everyday Companion. The band played the Dirty Side Down track frequently throughout 2010 and ‘11 but after that shelved the song until 2017. “Impossible” is one of Panic’s oldest and most played, unveiled on August 4, 1988. It has remained in fairly heavy rotation since. WSP debuted “Imitation Leather Shoes” on April 2, 2000 and it has also remained a steady staple since. All three songs were played as a continuous mid-first set segue at Grand Targhee in 2011.
