Foo Fighters, Jay-Z, Tina Turner & More Inducted Into 2021 Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame

Foo Fighters, Jay-Z, Tina Turner and more have all received good news today, as they’ve all been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame for 2021.

Carole King, Todd Rundgren and The Go-Go‘s have all also been inducted, with a slew of other acts being recognised in other special categories.

The induction is especially notable for Foo Fighters and Jay-Z, both of which were inducted on their first ever year of eligibility.

Upon the news, Dave Grohl told Rolling Stone, “I just recently realized it’s been half my life since I’ve been in this band. I feel, in a way, that I’ve almost neglected how much we’ve done in the past 25 years.

“I think because I’m always working in a forward motion, I don’t spend too much time sitting down and looking back at what we’ve done or reflecting on our past achievements. I just kind of look forward to the next thing. So today has been a bit more reflective than before.”

The Musical Excellence Award is going to LL Cool J, Billy Preston and Randy Rhoads, and the Early Influence Award is going to Kraftwerk, Gil-Scott Heron and Charley Patton.

The induction ceremony will take place on Saturday, 30th October in Cleveland’s Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse Arena.
