As the live music environment continues to develop and shift back to normal, FiLo Festival is bridging the old and the new ways of doing things. The first-of-its-kind music festival will feature both live and pre-recorded performances from over 60 artists, spanning countless genres. Additionally, the entire event will serve as a fundraiser for road crews and support staff who have been put indefinitely out of work by the pandemic.
Among the scores of musicians signed on for FiLo Festival are Bob Weir & Wolf Bros, Billy Strings, Questlove, Dave Schools, Sammy Hagar, David Crosby, Stephen Marley, Billy Kreutzmann, Robert Glasper, Jerry Harrison, George Porter Jr., John Bell, John Popper, G. Love & Special Sauce, Tower of Power, Blackberry Smoke, Slightly Stoopid, JoJo Hermann, Dumpstaphunk, Turkuaz, Robert Walter, Papa Mali, Leftover Salmon, DJ Logic, and many more. Weir and Schools will serve as hosts of the event, with the former telling tales dating back to his early days with the Grateful Dead in addition to an intimate performance with Wolf Bros.

“Here’s one for the folks that bring me to you,” Weir said in a press release about the “First In, Last Out” music festival.
What makes FiLo such an innovative festival concept is the way that it is able to replicate the plethora of stages found at a music festival. Thanks to the cooperation of venues around the country, fans will be able to go from room to room as the all-star cast of performers take the stage at iconic venues across the country as well as the comfort of their own homes.
Participating venues for FiLo Festival include Brooklyn Bowl locations in New York City and Nashville; Chelsea Music Hall in New York City; InstrumentHead Studios in Nashville; The Capitol Theater in New York; Tipitina’s in New Orleans; Social Sanctuary in Los Angeles; The Outpost in San Juan Capistrano, California; the Maui Arts and Cultural Center in Maui, Hawaii; the Hawaii Theater in Oahu, Hawaii; TRI Studios and Sweetwater in San Francisco; the Alabama Theater in Birmingham; the Shakedown Bar in Vail, Colorado; the Boulder Theater in Boulder, Colorado, and the Tractor Tavern in Seattle.
“FiLo Festival is going to be an epic event that will be an opportunity for the leaders of the music industry to take care of the hard-working men and women who have taken care of the artists for decades,” explained FiLo Festival Executive Producer and CEO of RockJet, David Precheur. “Without all these great folks there are no shows and for the last year, very few have been able to do their jobs. They need our help and this is our opportunity to take care of them.”
Tickets for FiLo Festival are available now for $10, with 100% of proceeds going to road crew and venue staff, distributed through the For Humanity nonprofit foundation started by NBA legend and famous Deadhead Bill Walton. For $20 viewers can also receive admission to the virtual festival in addition to a limited edition FiLo NFT.
