Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio will bring the Trey Anastasio Band on the road this September and October for the group’s first tour since the pandemic began. Anastasio revealed bassist Dezron Douglas has joined TAB following the death of co-founding member Tony Markellis.

“I’m thrilled to welcome the incredible Dezron Douglas to TAB. A longtime friend and collaborator of virtually every member of the band, Dezron is a master of reggae, funk and jazz bass,” Anastasio wrote. “[Drummer] Russ [Lawton], [keyboardist] Ray [Paczkowksi], Dezron and I had some deep jams in the city recently, and Dezron’s playing is pure flow, heart, spirit and soul. We all can’t wait to get out on the road together. Thank you Dezron, Welcome to the Band! See you all soon!”

The Trey Anastasio Band kicks off their U.S. Tour 2021 at Thompson’s Point in Portland, Maine on September 17. From there, the group hits Boston on September 18, New Haven on September 19, Philadelphia on September 21, Charlottesville on September 22, Wilmington (North Carolina) on September 24, Charlotte on September 25 and Asheville on September 26.

Next up is a stop in Columbus on September 28 before TAB closes the month at Pittsburgh’s Stage AE Outdoors on September 29. The band plays The Anthem in Washington D.C. on October 1 and then ends the run with two nights at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on October 2 and 3.
