Austin’s Black Pumas postponed seven upcoming concerts, “due to situations beyond [their] control” as per a statement from the group. The decision affects shows through a two-night stand at Seattle’s Paramount Theatre originally scheduled for August 21 – 22.

The band led by singer/guitarist Eric Burton and guitarist/producer Adrian Quesada was supposed to play the Dillon Amphitheater in Dillon, Colorado tonight (Friday, August 13). Black Pumas also postponed Sunday’s concert at the Belly Up Aspen and performances in Salt Lake City on August 17, Portland August 19 – 20 and the aforementioned visit to Seattle (August 21 – 22).

New dates have not been announced as of press time. Ticketholders can either hold on to their tickets for the rescheduled dates or obtain refunds at the original point of purchase.

Black Pumas are currently slated to return to the stage for appearances at the Railbird and Wonderbus festivals on August 28 and 29, respectively. The group completed a two-night stand at Denver’s Mission Ballroom last night.
