Margo Price has added to the ever-growing number of artists who have paid tribute to Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts. The singer-songwriter used her set at Railbird Festival on Sunday to honor Watts with her debut of The Stones’ “Dead Flowers”.

Price’s spot at the Lexington, KY festival featured selections from her latest album, 2020’s That’s How Rumors Get Started, including the show-opening “Twinkle Twinkle” as well as “Letting Me Down”. The Stones debut came following a run through “Four Years of Chances”, off 2016’s Midwest Farmer’s Daughter.

The country-revivalist’s rendition of the Sticky Fingers classic took the song in a decidedly unique direction away from its iconic roots veneer. Instead, Price kicked out the jams with a rocking version that emphasized the backbeat now left vacant in The Rolling Stones by the departed Charlie Watts. Price even closed out her rendition by belting out “We love you Charlie!”
