The Infamous Stringdusters dobro player Andy Hall announced the release of an ambient album, A Universe Within, due out via Americana Vibes on September 24. Andy also shared the record’s first single, “Halls Of The Eclipse.”
Andy Hall is perhaps best known as the dobroist and vocalist for the Grammy-winning bluegrass group The Infamous Stringdusters. But the dobro ace has also released a handful of solo albums including 2020’s 12 Bluegrass Classics For Resophonic Guitar. His new solo effort, A Universe Within, sees Andy moving into another genre he’s passionate about, the ambient New Age realm.
“Ambient and New Age music has always been healing for me,” Andy said in a press release. “The space it creates, and the quiet colors it paints calms my nervous system, but still equally excites my senses. All of these songs are straight from the ether and into your ears.”
