Ty Segall Announces North American Tour 2021/2022

99

Singer-songwriter Ty Segall will hit the road for an extensive tour of North America this fall that extends well into 2022. Segall also shared the music video for “Feel Good,” a track featured on his surprise-released Harmonizer album.

Ty Segall & Freedom Band begin the tour with a two-night stand at Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles September 5 – 6 following an appearance later this month at Psycho Las Vegas. Segall and his group play the Belly Up in Solana Beach, California on September 9 and then head to Chicago for the Pitchfork Music Festival before returning to California for more shows at the Teragram Ballroom and September stops in Big Sur, Sacramento and Petaluma. Ty is aboard for Atlanta’s Shaky Knees Festival in October and Desert Daze in Moreno Valley, California on November 12.

Segall will end 2021 with a five-night New Year’s Run at The Chapel in San Francisco December 27 – 31. Ty and his band then begin 2022 with a West Coast excursion spanning January 31 – February 9 that includes performances in Santa Barbara, Santa Cruz, Portland (Oregon), Vancouver, Seattle and Sonoma (California). It’s back to the road in June for stops in Tucson, New Orleans, Asheville, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Boston and Cleveland. Ty is currently slated to close out the tour next July with visits to Minneapolis, Denver and Salt Lake City. Tickets for most shows go on sale this Friday, August 20 at 12 p.m. ET.

Harmonizer, Segall’s first new album since 2019, arrived via Drag City on digital services earlier this month. A physical release is coming in October. “Feel Good” is one of two tracks on the LP to incorporate lyrics and vocals from Ty’s wife, Denée Segall.

“‘Feel Good’ is about allowing oneself to be confident and unrestrained in regard to whatever makes them feel good, be it emotionally, physically, or beyond,” Denée explained. “It’s also about extending this sentiment to another who might desire this same sort of freedom, but needs a little encouragement. It’s an ode to the joy that comes from loving and supporting one another unconditionally.”
