Dave Matthews Band Cancels Oklahoma Concerts Due To COVID-19 Protocols

90

Dave Matthews Band canceled a pair of concerts originally slated to take place at Choctaw Grand Theater in Durant, Oklahoma on October 15 and 16. “Unfortunately, it was not possible to implement the band’s Covid-19 policies in this venue,” explained DMB in a statement announcing the decision.

Last month Dave Matthews Band laid out COVID-19 protocols for their 2021 tour starting on August 21. Ticketholders are required to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 48 hours of each show. Those attending multiple concerts at the same venue who use a negative test for entry do not need to take subsequent tests. Refunds for the Oklahoma DMB concerts will be issued at the point of purchase.

Bassist Stefan Lessard and drummer Carter Beauford missed four shows earlier this month after testing positive for COVID-19. Dave Matthews Band continues their tour tonight at Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, New York.
