Gov’t Mule Confirms Mule-o-ween Run 2021 In Atlanta

98

Gov’t Mule will celebrate Halloween Weekend with a pair of special concerts at The Tabernacle in Atlanta. The quartet will perform their new album Heavy Load Blues in its entirety and present “other surprises” on October 29 before teaming with original Marshall Tucker Band drummer Paul Riddle and Blackberry Smoke frontman Charlie Starr for their traditional Mule-o-ween show on October 30.

The run was announced with a graphic hinting at a tribute to The Allman Brothers Band for this year’s Mule-o-ween performance. Not only does the image resemble a road case featured on the cover of the ABB’s famed 1971 live album, At Fillmore East, there are also a pair of mushrooms similar to those in the Allmans’ logo next to the date of the concert. Additionally, the venue is listed as “Live At The Tabernacle South.” It doesn’t hurt that the lineup will be augmented by an extra drummer and guitarist.

Gov’t Mule frontman Warren Haynes was a member of The Allman Brothers Band from 1989 to 1997 and rejoined the group in 2000. Haynes continued as part of the legendary rock band’s lineup through their final shows in 2014. Heavy Load Blues, which will be premiered live on the 30th during the four-piece’s Hot & Heavy show, arrives through Fantasy Records on November 12.

A presale for tickets begins this Wednesday, September 29 at 10 a.m. ET through Mule Ticketing. Then, tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, October 1 at 10 a.m. ET via Live Nation.
