Guns N’ Roses & Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl Collaboration Cut Short By BottleRock Curfew

111

Guns N’ Roses ended their headlining set at the BottleRock Napa Valley festival in Napa, California on Saturday by welcoming Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl to guest on “Paradise City.” However, fans only heard about half of the song as organizers cut the sound when the clock hit 10 due to a strict curfew.

Saturday wasn’t the first time BottleRock organizers pulled the plug on performances to abide by the curfew as Foo Fighters’ 2017 performance was among those ended early to abide by local noise ordinances. Guns N’ Roses and Dave Grohl didn’t let the lack of sound going through the p.a. stop them from finishing the song strong. Festivalgoers rallied to belt out the lyrics to the Appetite For Destruction classic.

Grohl previously performed “Paradise City” with Guns N’ Roses at Tulsa’s BOK Center in 2017. Dave’s guest spot at BottleRock came after pop star Pink joined GN’R for “Patience” to start the band’s encore. Guns N’ Roses’ main set was similar to most on their current tour, as they focused on material from Appetite For Destruction and the two Use Your Illusion albums with a batch of choice covers thrown in for good measure.
