Kevin Morby released a 4-track demo featuring “Sundowner,” the title track from his 2020 studio album. The demo is one of 10 early Sundowner sketches that appears on A Night At The Little Los Angeles which arrives via Dead Oceans on October 8.
A Night At The Little Los Angeles takes its name from the back shed of Morby’s home, where he recorded early versions of Sundowner tracks in 2017 and 2018. “My goal was to capture the essence of these initial recordings, and here you will now have access to the very essence I was chasing,” Kevin explained of a collection that shows off his songwriting process.
“In this demo of ‘Sundowner’ you’ll notice a few differences from the album version,” added Morby. “Wait for it!”
