Listen to Triple One’s Industrial-Tinged New Single ‘Blood Rave’

Triple One have returned with their first single since dropping debut album Panic Force last year. ‘Blood Rave’ is a characteristically eclectic cut with a dark, borderline industrial beat co-produced by Lucianblomkamp.

“The song touches on pleasure and the consequences of chasing pleasure. Indulging in temptation, lust and the areas in between,” explains vocalist Marty Bugatti. “It’s about being in a constant cycle of chasing expedient joy and putting off responsibilities to be dealt with later. And then, when it’s time to deal with the consequences, it’s often too late.”

‘Blood Rave’ arrives alongside a vivid animated video made in collaboration with Sydney visual artist Serwah Attafuah, heavily featuring her distinctive 3D graphic style. “My aim was to create a surreal and sexy feminine universe in which the Triple One characters are lost in,” she says.

“Visually, I didn’t want it to be just a loose conceptual piece, so making it as literal as possible was pretty important to me. It’s always a pleasure to collaborate with Triple One, they definitely put a tonne of thought into all their visual elements and always come through with the hardest concepts.”

Triple One have kept relatively busy since Panic Force arrived back in November, embarking on a national headline tour behind the album and delivering a killer take on Cyndi Lauper’s ‘Time After Time’ for triple j’s Like a Version.
