Neal Francis brought his tour to NYC for a Wednesday night show at Brooklyn Bowl. This tour comes as the keyboardist/bandleader gears up for the release of his sophomore album, In Plain Sight, out on November 5th via ATO Records.

Looking to capitalize on the breakout success of his 2019 debut, Changes, Francis is in the midst of a marathon schedule on the rad. In addition to his own headlining shows, Francis has enjoyed some new exposure by opening for Black Pumas on their tour. The singer-songwriter will reconvene with the Austin-bred psych-soul outfit on October 15th at The Sylvee in Madison, WI.

This summer also saw the soulful rocker take his dynamic live performances to numerous music festivals including Summer Camp Music Festival last month in Chillicothe, IL. Beyond the more jam-centric lineups, Francis also earned spots on more mainstream gatherings including Lollapalooza. Unfortunately, like many other artists, Francis missed out on a major breakout opportunity with the cancellation of Bonnaroo earlier this month. If he continues to deliver engaging live performances like Wednesday night’s show at Brooklyn Bowl, however, Francis will surely make up for any missed opportunities in due time.
