Last month, Casey Barnes shared latest single ‘God Took His Time on You’, a tender-hearted country ballad as sentimental as its title would suggest. “When heaven dreamt you up / God took his time on you,” Barnes croons above a relatively sparse but uplifting swell of acoustic guitars and understated drums.
The accompanying Colin Jeffs-directed video, which we’re premiering here at Music Feeds, was filmed at Hillview Dairy in Queensland’s Currumbin Valley and, similarly, is every bit as picturesque as you’d imagine, with stunning shots of the region interspersed with footage of Barnes performing the song in a studio.
“When we were looking for locations for this clip we really wanted to find the perfect spot to complement the song and were lucky enough to stumble upon this incredible spot,” Barnes explains.
“Just the most stunning location and was the perfect match to tie everything together. It was great also to team up again with Colin Jeffs who has shot my last couple of music videos… he always goes the extra mile and we’re so happy with how this one has turned out.”
