She & Him, the duo featuring Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward will embark on an eight-concert tour this December. Deschanel and Ward also confirmed A Very She & Him Christmas’ 10th Anniversary Edition is due out through Merge Records on November 12 and unveiled a previously unreleased cover of Madonna’s “Holiday.”
The tour starts at Arlington Theater in Santa Barbara, California on December 2. She & Him then head to Los Angeles for shows on December 3 and 4. From there, the pair hits Chicago on December 7, Nashville on December 8 and Atlanta on December 9. A trip through Texas featuring stops in Dallas on December 11 and San Antonio on December 12 brings the excursion to a close. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, September 24. A Very She & Him Christmas marked the pair’s third studio album and was originally released in October of 2011. The limited-edition deluxe reissue includes the album pressed on silver vinyl along with a new 7-inch featuring the “Holiday” cover backed by a take on Wham!’s “Last Christmas.” Additionally, A Very She And Him Christmas 10th Anniversary Deluxe Edition comes with a bonus download for the duo’s version of “It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas,” a song by Meredith Wilson that Big Crosby and Perry Como popularized.
