The Weeknd has gifted us a narrative-fuelled, alternate clip for his smash single ‘Can’t Feel My Face’. The new video has been released to celebrate six years since his second record Beauty Behind The Madness.
The album came out this week back in 2015, and has since been certified 5x platinum in Canada, the singer’s home country.
The official video that came out in 2015 featured The Weeknd singing the song on stage in a hotel lounge to a thinned crowd of very disinterested people. The clip ended with him catching fire and stumbling off the stage.
This new, alternate clip was intended to be the original clip, according to a rep. However due to a “shift in creative direction,” the version was scrapped.
Sex, drugs, nightclubs, and plenty of dancing are featured throughout, certainly living up to the track’s name. Watch the clip below.
