“Time for LIVING”: Tom DeLonge Reveals Mark Hoppus Has Finished Chemotherapy

118

We’ve got an update on Mark Hoppus‘s cancer treatment and it’s looking like very good news!

The bassist’s estranged blink-182 bandmate Tom DeLonge has confirmed that Mark has finished chemotherapy to treat his stage 4-A diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, adding that it seems to have worked “wonderfully”.

Tom shared the update on Instagram in the form of an iPhone screenshot, showing a text exchange between the two pop-punk mates.

In the texts, Mark tells Tom that he’s got no more treatment planned, adding: “Doctor said I can take my port out… I think because he thinks the chemo did the trick and I’m done but also if the chemo didn’t work we do a different treatment entirely.”

After congratulating his former bandmate on the awesome news, DeLonge then joyously ribs him in classic Blink fashion: “Time for LIVING” he writes. “u need to fuck as many things as possible. Shoes, gopher holes, golfers. Anything u can catch.”

“I wanted to be a good friend to @markhoppus and just give some modest advice on what he should do next, now that his Chemo treatments have subsided and it looks like they may have worked wonderfully,” Tom captioned the post.

Now… when can we expect the blink-182 reunion album?

In other fantastic blink news, Travis Barker recently got on a plane for the first time since the 2008 crash that almost killed him.

So maybe put us down for an Australian reunion tour while we’re at it?

For real though, huge congrats to Mark for doing what he promised and “kicking cancer’s ass directly in the nuts”!!!!
