Goose brought their summer tour to an end on Saturday with a set at the Sea.Hear.Now Festival in Asbury Park, New Jersey. Pro-shot video featuring the jam quintet’s five-song set has been shared on YouTube.
Guitarist Rick Mitarotonda, multi-instrumentalist Peter Anspach, percussionist Jeff Arevalo, drummer Ben Atkind and bassist Trevor Weekz tore through “Yeti” to get the performance on the festival’s Park Stage underway. Next up was the beloved “Arcadia” before Goose took “Madhuvan” deep. The latter featured impressive guitar interplay from Mitarontonda and Anspach as Rick led a build to a huge peak.
The set rolled on with live staple “Turned Clouds.” Peter put organ and Clavinet, two recent additions to his rig, to good use throughout while Rick unleashed soulful riffs. Anspach thanked the crowd for checking out Goose’s set before the band launched into “Empress Of Organos” to close the set.
