Amy Shark Leads Fresh Round Of Bluesfest 2022 Lineup Additions

140

NSW is in the process of opening back up, and to celebrate, Bluesfest has added another eight artists to its absolutely mega 2022 lineup, including the alt-pop queen herself Amy Shark.

Country rock superstar Casey Barnes, Trans-Tasman pop R&B star Stan Walker and Brisbane via New York soul sensation Lisa Hunt also feature on the list of new additions.

“How good is this announcement? How great are these artists?” comments festival boss, Peter Noble.

“This Bluesfest lineup keeps building and building – the quality and talent next Easter Long Weekend, Thursday 14th April – Monday 18th April 2022, is amazing and unparalleled! It is THE BEST Aussie & Kiwi lineup – EVER, and guess what – we still have one or two surprises left up our sleeves!!”

He continues: “We have always believed the day would come when we will be coming together to attend music festivals again. We have never given up on that and, although it’s been quite a difficult time, we feel that, for our beloved music industry, the musicians, the crews, everyone who works in it and especially the fans, it is our responsibility to be there to present the music we love, just as soon as we can. Thank you for sticking with us in what has been an epic journey … it’s not too long now.”

The Bluesfest 2022 lineup is now 82 artists strong, with this new crop joining the likes of Midnight Oil, Paul Kelly, Jimmy Barnes, The Teskey Brothers, Missy Higgins, Diesel and loads more.

Bluesfest had originally been rescheduled for October after its shock forced last-minute cancellation back in April, but organisers recently made the tough decision to scrap it as most of the country was plunged into extended lockdowns. It’s now been relocated to its normal Easter dates in 2022.

We’ve been promised almost all the October 2021 artists will return (as The Music Network reports, it seems The Cat Empire, Ocean Alley, Tash Sultana and Ziggy Alberts will be missing) and there are still plenty more acts TBA.

“HOLD ON TO YOUR TICKETS BLUESFESTERS – I STILL HAVE SOME AMAZING HEADLINERS TO ANNOUNCE,” Noble adds.

Stay tuned!
