B.Social Festival Is Coming To North Queensland This Summer

Mackay, approximately 970 kilometres north of Brisbane, will host the inaugural b.social festival this December.

The new festival is the brainchild of Michael Delaney and Tropical Ent. Delaney is the co-director of the successful River Sessions and, generally speaking, a North Queensland enthusiast.

B.social will pull up to the Mackay Showgrounds on Wednesday, 29th December 2021. The lineup features Masked Wolf, The Jungle Giants (DJ set), Sneaky Sound System, Choomba, Tigerlily, Jordan Burns, Taleena, Latifa Tee and Silky Fuzz, with more to be announced.

Delaney released a statement explaining his motivations for creating a new festival in North Queensland. “B.social is about the push of social interaction, which is something that the whole world has suffered from—something humans are not meant to endure,” he said.

North Queensland is considered a low risk area for COVID, but Delaney and the team are “working with key stakeholders to ensure that we greatly minimise the risk of Covid-19 whilst putting on a stellar event for people to get out and enjoy live music with friends.”

The official ticket pre-sale begins this Friday, 15th October at 4:30 pm. General admission tickets will be available from Saturday, 16th October at 4:30 pm via festicket.com.
