Acclaimed soul trio The Nth Power has announced a new crop of 2021 fall tour dates as well as a three-night New Year’s Eve run in the Northeast.
Fresh off a lengthy stretch of Fall Back In Love Tour dates on the west coast, The Nth Power—comprised of drummer Nikki Glaspie, bassist Nate Edgar, and guitarist Nick Cassarino—will stay busy for the remainder of this month with with appearances at festivals like Placerville, CA’s Hangtown Festival and Live Oak, FL’s Suwannee Hulaween.
The Nth Power will then travel through the Midwest and more throughout the month of November, making stops in Ferndale, MI (11/4); Berwyn, IL (11/5); Cincinnati, OH (11/6); Bloomington, IN (11/7); Dayton, OH (11/10); Peoria, IL (11/11); and Indianapolis, IN (11/12) before wrapping up the run with a show in Memphis, TN (11/13).
The band will then wrap up the year with a two-night New Year’s Eve run at Lark Music Hall in Albany, NY (12/30, 12/31) followed by a New Year’s Day gig at Park City Music Hall in Bridgeport, CT.
The tour comes in continuing support of the band’s newly released album, Reverence. Both musically and lyrically, Reverence serves as a full-circle moment in The Nth Power’s evolution as a band, tapping into an energy both sensual and spiritual while infusing high doses of rock, soul, funk, reggae, gospel and rhythm and blues. The new songs spread a deep message of hope, empathy, gratitude, and self-forgiveness and, above all, attest to the universal power of love.
The Nth Power is joined on the album by a number of high-profile special guests including iconic saxophonist Maceo Parker, Dumpstaphunk’s Ivan Neville and Nick Daniels, and vocalist Ceryl Pepsii Riley, but no external influence is felt more powerfully on Reverence than that of Kofi Burbridge (Tedeschi Trucks Band), whose contributions on ten of the album’s eleven tracks served as some of his final earthly recordings.
“It means everything that Kofi was playing with us before his transition,” said Cassarino when the album was released. “He brought the same energy to the studio that he brought to the stage, that he brought to rehearsal, that he brought to dinner—greatness.” Listen to Reverence on the platform of your choice here.
