Mac DeMarco shared a cover of “I’ll Be Home For Christmas.” The holiday classic arrived with a heartwarming music video.
Lyricist Kim Gannon and composer Walter Kent wrote “I’ll Be Home For Christmas.” Bing Crosby recorded the song in 1943 and it subsequently became a holiday standard covered by countless artists from Elvis Presley to Josh Groban.
DeMarco’s jazzy version of the tune follows a similar release last year of “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.” Whereas Mac’s “Merry Little Christmas” featured an inflatable Santa, the video for “Home For Christmas” follows the adventures of an inflatable Christmas tree brought to life by Rhianne McNally. The track also contains fretless bass and drums from Daryl Johns.
“I Hope your holiday season is full of love and tree,” Mac wrote in the notes accompanying the “I’ll Be Home For Christmas” video. Watch it below:
