Vulfpeck will release a new album, Vulf Vault 005: Wong’s Cafe on January 7. The album was produced by the band’s guitarist Cory Wong and features the opening track and lead single “Smokeshow.”
As the title suggests, the pending release is part of Vulpeck’s Vulf Vault Series. The album is Vulpeck’s first release of all-original music in more than a year. Five of the songs on Vulf Vault 005: Wong’s Cafe were recorded before the COVID-19 pandemic, the other five were recorded by the band “over the last few months.” Guest saxophonist Eddie Barbash appears on the record.
