Gov’t Mule announced details for their 2022 Spring Tour dates. The run spans the month of April and includes their previously rescheduled New Year’s concerts in Philadelphia and New York City.
The tour begins in New York with stops in Syracuse on April 6, Albany on April 7 and New York City on April 8 and 9. Gov’t Mule then heads to Pennsylvania for shows in McKee Rocks, Wilkes-Barre, Philadelphia and Erie.
Warren Haynes and his bandmates hit the Midwest next with performances in Chicago, Grand Rapids (Michigan) and Fort Wayne (Indiana). From there the quartet will play Memphis on April 21 followed by dates in Little Rock, St. Louis, Oklahoma City and Mobile. Gov’t Mule’s appearance at the SweetWater 420 Fest pre-party comes on April 28 with their annual New Orleans show during Jazz Fest to be held on April 29 at a venue to be announced. The trek is currently expected to conclude in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on April 30.
The run will be the band’s first since releasing their Heavy Load Blues studio album last November. “We’ve really been looking forward to getting back out on the road and doing a ‘proper’ tour to play all these new songs,” said Haynes in a press release. “I don’t know who’s more excited – the fans or the band. We can’t wait to get back to playing every night. Most of these venues are ones we’ve played before and love, but there are a few new places we’re eager to visit. We’re also thrilled to reschedule our New Year’s shows and continue our ‘Black and Blue’ theme, which I think is different from what people may have expected.”
Gov’t Mule Spring Tour 2022 tickets will be available to the general public starting this Friday, February 4 at 10 a.m. local time. Pre-sale tickets go on sale via Mule Ticketing this Wednesday, February 2 at 10 a.m. ET.
