Kanye Samples Eazy-E And Disses Pete Davidson On New Single w/ The Game

Kanye West (aka Ye) has teamed up with his long-time collaborator, The Game, on the new single ‘Eazy’.

‘Eazy’ feeds off a vocal sample from Eazy-E’s ‘Eazy-Duz-It’, thought to have been performed by R&B vocalist Michel’le. “He was once a thug from around the way,” she sings. DJ Premier, Wack 100, DONTMINDIFIDUKE, MIKE DEAN and Hit-Boy co-produced ‘Eazy’.

The Game takes the first verse, which pays tribute to his mentor, Dr Dre (who produced ‘Eazy-Duz-It’): “Compton’s amazed, Dr. Dre percussion / God, please grant my n***a eternal life, we need the beats,” he raps.

Ye takes the song’s second and final verse, which includes references to his narcissism and the public commentary on his arrogance.

He also reflects on his pending divorce from Kim Kardashian – “We havin’ the best divorce ever / If we go to court, we’ll go to court together” – and the fact he bought a house on the same street as Kardashian – “Noncustodial dad, I bought the house next door.”

Ye then takes a swipe at Kardashian’s new love interest, comedian Pete Davidson: “God saved me from that crash / Just so I can beat Pete Davidson’s ass (Who?).”

Earlier this month, Ye’s colleague Steven Victor announced that “Ye has started working on his new masterpiece DONDA 2.” ‘Eazy’ could well be its first single. Listen to the track below.
