Kevin Hart’s 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner ‘Michael Myers’ Is A Killer Custom Muscle Car

Kevin Hart just took delivery of another Detroit-born piece of restomodded muscle to keep his Dodge Charger “Hellraiser” by Speedkore Performance company.

The awestruck comedian and actor circles his heavily customized 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner in the reveal video above, saying, “This is stupid, man. Dave, this is so stupid.”

Hart is addressing Dave Salvaggio, VP of Speedkore and proprietor of Wisconsin’s Salvaggio Design shop. The “stupid” fixture of Hart’s gaze is a hulking, 426 cubic-inch (7.0-liter) Hemi topped with a Whipple supercharger painted in Orange Candy satin.

The dyno-proven output is a hellacious 940-horsepower sent through a strengthened Tremec 6060 six-speed—a transmission specifically requested by Hart. As for the orange coat, it’s part of an ongoing slasher-movie theme matched to the aforementioned Charger “Hellraiser.”

Other key pieces of hidden componentry include a suspension grafted to Salvaggio’s fabricated frame and fitted with JRI shocks for comfort, and Brembo’s latest six- and four-piston brakes for the front and rear, hidden behind all-black aluminum rims with classic “dog fish” hubcaps.

After 3D-scanning a donor car and fabricating, restoring or replacing body parts, only the roof, doors, fenders and rear quarter panels are original. The hood and flush bumpers are carbon fiber, while the remaining bodywork was painted in a high-gloss black.

Billeted aluminum parts include a three-piece grille brushed in nickel and driver’s door mirror, as well as the interior’s menacing skeletonized knife-shaped shifter, steering wheel and instrument cluster.

Above the glove compartment are the words “Michael Myers,” the Halloween-inspired name of Hart’s new hot rod. Continuing the slasher decor is orange stitching, which contrasts with black Italian leather upholstery.

But Salvaggio did something extra-special for his uber-famous repeat client. He enlisted Rey Marquez of El Paso’s Reymar Footwear to create a pair of custom Nike shoes, belt and wallet using orange splatter leather, strips of genuine carbon fiber, and Roadrunner badges to be worn whenever behind the wheel.

Talk about a killer ride.
