AEG Presents‘ Chuck Morris has teamed with Colorado Governor Jared PolisCommunity Foundation of Boulder President Tatiana Hernandes, and Colorado-based musician Nathaniel Rateliff to produce a virtual benefit concert supporting the survivors of the devastating Marshall Fire in late 2021. The pre-recorded concert, set to stream live via Veeps on February 28th, will feature performances by a number of Colorado favorites and other nationally touring artists.

The initial list of artists set to contribute to the show includes Rateliff, Amos LeeBig Head ToddThe California HoneydropsOld Crow Medicine ShowDave Matthews, Lake Street DiveLeftover SalmonLyle LovettMichael FrantiThe Motet, Rob DrabkinRyan Tedder (OneRepublic), Sarah JaroszSteve MillerThe String Cheese IncidentTrey Anastasio, and Wynonna Judd with Cactus Miller. Additional artists are due to be added as the show approaches.

The Marshall Fire, which broke out on December 30th, 2021, destroyed more than 1,000 homes and numerous businesses. It was recorded as the most destructive fire in Colorado’s history. In the month since the disaster, the Polis-Primavera administration has collaborated closely with local, state, and federal agencies to provide much-needed relief for impacted individuals and families navigating the process of filing insurance claims, accessing unemployment assistance, and applying for small business loans.

Where federal benefits have left gaps in funding for some impacted community members, organizations like the Community Foundation of Boulder have raised over $27 million and allocated $7 million in direct financial assistance for over 90% of households that were damaged or destroyed. The benefit stream’s $10 price tag will go directly to helping Marshall Fire survivors through the Community Foundation of Boulder County’s website.

“Music itself can be healing, and the funds raised by this event will go a long way toward helping Coloradans impacted by the Marshall Fire to rebuild their lives and communities,” Governor Polis said during a press conference on Tuesday. “We’re thrilled to be partnering together with AEG, Community Foundation of Boulder, and Colorado creatives whose talents serve as a powerful balm during a difficult time. If you’re able to donate to help our friends and neighbors who need our support now more than ever, this is a great opportunity to pay it forward while enjoying your favorite bands.”

Added Morris, the chairman emeritus of AEG, “I want to thank Governor Polis and all of the sponsors, from corporations to non-profits, for ensuring countless people can support the Boulder community with every penny going towards victims of the fires. The power of Colorado’s music community to band together and lend their talents for free makes me proud to be in the music business.”
