Elvis Costello & The Imposters confirmed tour dates taking place this summer with support at various shows from Nick Lowe & Los Straitjackets and Nicole Atkins. Tickets go on sale this Friday, February 18 at 10 a.m. local venue time.

Touring in support of Elvis Costello & The Imposters’ 2022 album, The Boy Named If, the veteran singer-songwriter’s run billed as “The Boy Named If & Other Favourites” begins on August 6 in Huber Heights, Ohio with Atkins opening. Costello will return to Toronto on August 8 with support from Lowe, marking the start of their first tour together since 1989. Atkins opens on August 9 in Buffalo, New York, after which Lowe joins for a concert on August 11 in New York City.
Costello will perform without an opening act on August 12 in Bensalem, Pennsylvania and on August 13 in Mashantucket, Connecticut. Additional stops on Costello’s summer tour featuring support from Lowe include Boston on August 15, Northampton (Massachusetts) on August 17 and Vienna (Virgina) on August 18. The two acts will perform in Denver on August 25 and in Salt Lake City on August 26. The tour then heads to California for shows on August 28 in Thousand Oaks, followed by Anaheim on August 30 and Paso Robles on September 1. Elvis Costello & The Imposters will conclude their tour with Lowe in Las Vegas on September 2.
Costello and The Imposters – Steve Nieve, Pete Thomas and Davey Faragher – will again be accompanied on the tour by guitarist Charlie Sexton.
“Pete Thomas, Steve Nieve and I have been spinning around like your favorite 45rpm for 45 years and let’s be clear, Davey Faragher isn’t anyone’s deputy,” Costello stated.
“The Attractions could have no more made The Boy Named If than we have any desire to time travel back to the 1970s. This is happening right now in 2022, we are coming at you, big as life and twice as ugly.”
