With the rescheduled Phish New Year’s Eve run at Madison Square Garden set to begin on Wednesday, the band has announced new policies for early entry. Fans will now enter a randomized lottery to receive early access to the venue and secure space on the floor.
Announced on Monday, the new policies were framed as a way to keep fans from standing in line for hours to get a spot close to the stage. Now, those with general admission floor tickets can fill out a form for a chance to receive early entry to Madison Square Garden. The form will include the name of the ticket holder and a friend if requested. No name changes will be allowed following submission. The registration process opens at 9 a.m. two days prior to each show and closes at 9 a.m. the day prior to each show.
“At approximately 3 p.m. on the day prior to each show we will select a limited number of fans to receive early entry. All entrants will receive an email notification of whether or not they were selected to be eligible for early entry,” the announcement read. “Those who are selected will receive an email with details on when and where to meet to enter the venue.”
