AET Remould is a watch design and modification brand from Germany, with a new and unparalleled perspective in the field of watches that combines modern art and traditional watchmaking with results unlike anything seen before. The acronym stands for Artistic, Expression and Thought, all of these being pillars of AET Remould core values which led to the creation of the brand name.

After several successes with modifications made to watches produced by Richard Mille and Rolex, AET Remould has chosen to open its own production line of designer baubles based on the Audemars Piguet Offshore.

The first resulting timepiece, named “Lochagos,” comes from the new Sparta Collection. It aims to channel the Spartans’ fighting spirit, bravery and endurance in a Royal Oak Offshore design that’s perfect for those who appreciate large-sized timepieces.

”Victory or Death” is the motto of the Spartan warriors, and their courage and fearlessness are expressed in the design of the new watch. The predominant red and yellow colorway symbolizes both Spartan bloodshed and yellow ancient graffiti that transmits the intensity of famous battles, such as the legend of 300 Spartans who held off more than 1,000,000 Persians for 3 days and 3 nights.

The Spartan shield is represented in the chronograph dials at 12 and 6 o’clock with a shield pattern. The eye-catching dominant colors are also found on the back of the watch, both amplifying the visual aesthetics and commemorating the military pre-eminence of Sparta, which was recognized as the main force of the unified Greek army during the Greco-Persian wars.

AET Remould is known for the use of fine, innovative materials such as sapphire, ceramics and cermets. The Lochagos is no exception to the rule, as a full sapphire case was used in its creation, something that had never been used in Audemars Piguet Offshore models previously.

Natural sapphires are often cut and polished into gemstones and worn in jewelry, but in the case of this timepiece, sapphire was also used in all the large components. Another unique element is the company’s logo, which is central to the design.

The Lochagos made by AET Remould based on the Audemars Piguet Offshore is limited to 10 pieces worldwide.
