Arlo McKinley shared a new single, “To Die For.” The track is set for the Cincinnati-born singer-songwriter’s upcoming album, This Mess We’re In, due out via Oh Boy Records on July 15.
This Mess We’re In is the follow up to Arlo’s 2020 debut LP Die Midwestern. McKinley announced the new album last month and shared the single “Stealing Dark From The Night Sky.”
Arlo now presents the song, “To Die For,” that follows “Stealing Dark From The Night Sky” on This Mess We’re In. The single sees McKinley and his band rocking on a song that showcases the singer-songwriter’s wordsmithery, painting a vivid picture with lyrics like “The streets forever stained with our blood/in a town where dreams surely come to die/every time the lights shine/yeah they’ll be thinking of us.” That line comes just before the tune’s infectious hook.
