Phil Lesh & The Midnight Ramble Band Announce Woodstock Anniversary Show At Bethel Woods

113

Phil LeshThe Midnight Ramble Band will perform at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel, NY as part of the venue’s Woodstock Anniversary Celebration on August 20th. The band will feature members of The Midnight Ramble Band, formerly The Levon Helm Band, and other familiar players including Amy Helm, Jim Wider, Brian Mitchell, Adam Minkoff, Steven Bernstein, Larry Campbell, Teresa Williams, Connor Kennedy, Shawn Pelton, Tony Leone, Erik Lawerence, Grahame Lesh, and Jay Collins.

The Woodstock Anniversary Celebration will commemorate the 53rd anniversary of the historic Woodstock Music and Art Fair that took place in Bethel in 1969. The Grateful Dead and The Band both performed at the original Woodstock festival, so the collaboration between Phil Lesh and the late Band drummer’s solo project will be a fitting way to mark the occasion.

Tickets for Phil Lesh & The Midnight Ramble Band at Bethel Woods will go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. E.T. on Friday, May 20th.

Phil Lesh has additional performances scheduled with different lineups throughout the summer. The Grateful Dead bassist will be joined by Grahame Lesh, Scott Metzger, Joe Russo, John Scofield, and Benmont Tench in Palo Alto, CA on June 4th. Then he will play with Stu Allen, Graham Lesh, Steve Molitz, and Tony Leone in Eugene, OR on June 11th. Warren Haynes, John Scofield, John Medeski, and John Molo are scheduled to fill out the lineup on July 1st, and the Fourth of July will see a lineup featuring Griffin and Taylor Goldsmith, Trevor Menear, Lee Pardini, Grahame, and Nicki Bluhm.

Phil Lesh will team up with The String Cheese Incident for the Phil Lesh Incident at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on July 17th, and Phil Lesh & Friends are slotted to headline the final day of Telluride Bluegrass Festival in Telluride, CO on June 19th; Levitate Music Festival in Marshville, MA on July 9th; and the inaugural Sacred Rose Festival in Bridgeview, IL on August 26th. The band also has an upcoming residency at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY beginning October 14th and culminating with a Halloween show on October 31st.
