Phosphorescent released the latest installment in his The Full Moon Project covers series. The project of singer-songwriter Matthew Houck continues with Nina Simone’s “To Love Somebody.”
So far, Phosphorescent’s Full Moon Project has seen Houck releasing a cover with the arrival of each full moon of 2022. He began with a Randy Newman number and followed with nods to Nick Lowe and Bob Dylan.

Phosphorescent Covers Bob Dylan’s ‘Like A Rolling Stone’
May’s full-moon entry — coming on the heels of a lunar eclipse — features “To Love Somebody.” Originally written by Barry Gibb and Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees in 1967, Nina Simone recorded “To Love Somebody” for her 1969 album of the same name. Houck delivers the oft-covered song in the style of Simone.
