Samsung’s Arty ‘The Frame’ TV Now Has A Better Picture & An Eco-Conscious Remote

The Samsung Frame is back, and it’s better than ever. The Korean electronics giant’s signature set—characterized by a picture-frame-like design that can display art or photos when you’re not watching TV—boasts some notable improvements for the new 2022 model released last month.

There’s still a wide variety of customizable bezels to match your home decor and a brilliant picture, thanks to the 100% Color Volume feature in the 4K QLED screen. And now there’s even better screen visibility with virtually no light reflection, day or night, due to an anti-glare, matte finish display.

That’s particularly ideal for a TV that trumpets access to a digital gallery of more than 1,400 artworks and embraces the marketing motto, “TV when it’s on, art when it’s off.”

The Frame’s picture is enhanced by dual LED backlighting technology that delivers sharper color tones while maintaining vividness in every picture mode. Warm-tone LEDs provide a deeper range of black tone expressions and reveal hidden details in dark areas—so it’s basically perfect for streaming The Batman at your next movie night.

Another new addition is a minimalist, white “eco-remote” that’s made from recycled plastic and powered by indoor light, which eliminates the need for disposable batteries, thus reducing pesky carbon footprints.

And even if you’re not amplifying The Frame’s factory audio experience with a soundbar (always a good idea), The Frame’s patented SpaceFit Sound system will auto-optimize audio settings after analyzing where the TV is placed in a room.

The Frame has three built-in voice assistants–Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, and Samsung Bixby–to help navigate content or answer questions. It also features easy smartphone mirroring and compatibility with the PC-on-TV app, allowing users to connect to a work computer via a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard.

Available in a variety of sizes from 43-inches to 75-inches, The Frame comes in a multitude of sizes to fit practically any space. It’s designed to hang flush on a wall like an artwork courtesy of the slim-fit mount that comes with the TV, but it also looks just fine on a full action mount or atop a stylish stand.

The Frame also has a One Connect box that’s designed to reduce clutter and organize all your external devices–from speakers to gaming consoles–up to 16 feet away from the TV.

And like many new TVs, it provides access to hundreds of free, ad-supported streaming channels—this particular iteration is called Samsung TV Plus—for cord cutters who want to indulge in a little old-school channel surfing, instead of combing through the latest offerings on Netflix.

Interested in buying the uniquely arty new Frame? Through May 29, buyers can save up to $300 on the 2022 Frame and get 50% off a customizable bezel to go with it, though Samsung’s Memorial Day Weekend sales.
