Dumpstaphunk honored late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins during their set at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on Sunday, May 1. The NOLA-based band led by Ivan Neville delivered FF’s “Best Of You” in tribute to Taylor.
Foo Fighters were scheduled to headline Jazz Fest in 2022 before canceling their remaining tour dates in the wake of Hawkins’ tragic death on March 25. Red Hot Chili Peppers stepped into FF’s slot on Sunday and dedicated their set to the Foo Fighters and Hawkins.

Red Hot Chili Peppers Dedicate Jazz Fest Set To Foo Fighters In New Orleans
Red Hot Chili Peppers paid tribute to Foo Fighters and Taylor Hawkins at Jazz Fest in New Orleans on Sunday.

Hall, Neville and company included Foo Fighters’ “Best of You” from FF’s 2005 album In Your Honor in their set as a tribute to Taylor. Ivan dedicated the tune to Hawkins before Dumpstaphunk launched into a spirited rendition of the song.
